  • The expected usage of the synagogue during weekdays is:
    • Morning prayers from 7:00am to 9:00am by approx 40 men over two sessions
    • Afternoon and evening prayers by approx 40 men at sunset

  • The expected usage of the synagogue on the Sabbath and Jewish Festivals is:

    • Afternoon and evening prayers by approx 40 men at sunset

  • Expected vehicular traffic on weekdays is approx 10 cars in the mornings and in the evenings. Many congregants live within walking distance, and those that drive will be encouraged through a Green Travel Plan to share car journeys

  • Because the synagogue will be catering for an orthodox Jewish community, no vehicular traffic will be generated on Sabbaths and Jewish Festivals

  • The community hall (145m2 nett) is located beneath the synagogue, on the lower ground floor, and is accessed by lift and stairs. It will be used intermittently for lectures, community meetings, buffets after synagogue services on the Sabbath, plus occasional sit-down functions, music and dancing.
