DETAILS:
A new school for 1,200 pupils was established on a 17.5 acre site in LB Redbridge.

Initial exploratory studies were carried out to determine the best layout for the new school to suit its planned phased development, and an "H" plan was selected.

The first phase, comprising the Ronson and Sugar Wings, contained the initial classrooms, Gym and Dining Hall.

The CDT blocks formed Phase 2, and Phase 3 involved the construction of further classrooms.

The existing school building was retained and refurbished, as was the Sixth Form block.

A recent OFSTEAD report referred to "... new, well-designed buildings that contribute very effectively to the quality of education provision, and to pupils' attainment".
