DETAILS:
The
Mikvah is a ritual immersion bath for which precise design conditions
must be met, with great implications for the building form and
it's services.
Here, the sloping site has been utilised to resolve these requirements.
The building's high front elevation denotes the entrance, whilst
the roof sloping down to the rear acts as the essential rainwater
catchment area and conceals the lower level immersion pool.
The building was designed, built and fitted out in close detailed
negotiation with the Client and user Committee. |
