Girls’ school in Stamford Hill

Between 2007 and 2012, this one form entry private primary school was upgraded and refurbished to improve classroom conditions.
Funded by the DES via The Learning Trust, the Phase 1 LCVAP allocation allowed for the refurbishment of the toilets and the hand-washing area, new lighting, and upgrading the original electric wiring installation.  The works included general decorations, installation of Smart Boards, upgrading of fire alarms, and external lighting, as well as improvements to learning opportunities include an ICT room, General Studies room, new staff room, headteacher’s and a secretary’s offices.
Phase 2 included the re-roofing of the hall, safety barriers on the roof, improvements to the playground, and converting the play area fronting Northfield Road into an outdoor educational space.
Phase 3 comprised the refurbishment of the boiler, the nursery and junior girls’ toilets, and upgrading the entrance area, CCTV, and access controls.
Works were carried out with pupils in occupation over a three year period, decanting classes to temporary accommodation during half termly periods.
